Get ready to relax! Just 30 steps away from a beach access, this luxury condominium located at the center of Pleasure Island has everything you need with outstanding ocean and lake views. Spacious and comfortable, “Big Blue” is situated on a quiet one-way street just two blocks from the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the famous Britts Donuts! Park your car and walk where you need to go for your entire stay! During the high season, enjoy the amusement park, movies at the lake, music at the pavilion or enjoy the fireworks and the farmers market which are all just a short walk away. Across the street, the lake offers paddle boat rentals and a playground for the kids.

"Big Blue" is a spacious 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath condo. It boasts a large well-appointed kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The top floor offers a Queen main suite with an on suite master bath, a half bath off the kitchen, wine/coffee bar, dining/living room, large flat screen smart TV, and an ocean view balcony. The lower floor has another Queen suite with attached private bath and a flat screen TV, 1 bedroom with a Full bed and a third bedroom with two Twin beds. The full-sized bedroom and Twin bedroom offer a Jack-and-Jill bath in between. The Twin bedroom also offers a lake view balcony.

Nearby attractions include the civil war museum (look for info on the Ft. Fisher Hermit) and the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. The live oaks at Fort Fisher are a perfect back drop for photos. Water sports are in abundance nearby with charter fishing, jet ski rental, surfing lessons, and sea kayaking! Don’t worry --- a surf shop and rentals are within walking distance. Want to golf? Two challenging golf courses are less than 10 minutes away. Whether it is sunbathing on the beach, sightseeing, watching a free outdoor movie on Sunday nights at the Lake (located just across the road), renting scooters or a golf cart, there is lots to do on Pleasure Island!

Perfect location - close to the boardwalk, steps to the beach, and easy to get in/out. Space was just what we needed for our family. The master shower and downstairs bath shower did not seem very clean - master shower had significant mold. AC unit gave us fits halfway through the week, but the property managers were very responsive and got it back to normal working within 24hrs.

Great location! House was just a few steps from the beach and a short walk to the boardwalk. Many restaurants and shops within walking distance. House was clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay at Big Blue.

Our stay at Big Blue was perfect. The condo was perfect. Very close to the public beach entrance and an easy walk to the boardwalk.

We enjoyed our stay while enjoying a great location too. Walkable to everything you need. The town house is laid out well too with a convenient design. We also loved not having to cross the main road to get to the beach.

Beautiful place & location. Perfect condition, except microwave handle was broken. It still worked great.

Big Blue was spacious, well decorate and appointed. It is just a short walk to the beach. The beach was clean and very relaxing.

The location was awesome.....steps from the beach and the board walk. The realtor was nice enough to call us to let us know our property was ready early. Big Blue needs some maintenance. The front stairway entrance had an awful odor, the dishwasher gasket kept falling out (spent the last morning washing dishes by hand), the kitchen faucet was loose and dangling, the dryer took for ever to dry even just a small load, the mattresses and pillows were old. We had stayed in the condo across the hall back in 2018 when it was owned by a private owner and everything was great! Unfortunately we probably won’t be staying in Big Blue in the future.

House was nice. OV was better than expected. Dryer does not work well, took 3 hours to dry things. Deck facing ocean was very small, good enough for 2 people. Great walking distance to a lot of things! Everything else was good! Called about some parking issues, rental company was no help and didn't seem interested in thelping.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the dryer, our maintenance techs checked out the dryer and we can happily report that everything is in working order. For the future, when loading a dryer, please make sure not to overload it as it will take much longer to dry the items. As discussed over the phone, this property has parking for 2 vehicles (car, truck, SUV) 1 in the garage and 1 in the driveway. This information is available for you to see on the listing. You had 2 oversized lifted SUVs with you and neither would fit in the garage, we explained to you that there is multiple public paid parking lots within walking distance to this property. When planning your next vacation, make sure to call our offices and discuss parking. We would have been more than happy to discuss parking options before/ while you were booking this property so to avoid a situation like the one you occurred. Make sure to browse our inventory as well, we do have many other options with more parking that will accommodate 2 oversized lifted SUVs. Thank you for choosing Big Blue for your vacation!

The condo was very spacious and in a great location. There was an issue with the AC and it was repaired in a timely fashion. There weren't tv's in 2 of the 4 bedrooms. Overall it's a nice place to stay and we'll be back.

I really enjoyed my stay as this was my first at Big Blue. It was spaceous and very clean.The only issue that I had was the main door code was not provided. I called the afterhours line and was helped immediately.

The house was well decorated and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Right across from the beach access so very easy to get to and from the white sand beach. It was a short walk to the boardwalk and restaurants - we really enjoyed Shuckin’ Shack, Fork & Cork, and ice cream from The Celtic Creamery.
