Description

“Michael” is a magnificent third floor condo that is nestled in the dunes at the secluded northern end of Wrightsville Beach in Duneridge Resort. This ornate condo features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lavish décor and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean from the private ocean front deck! Relax in a chaise lounge by the poolside or play a few matches on the community tennis court. The wide, white sandy beach, accessed by a walkway is one of the most beautiful on the island.

The spacious open living and dining area gives way to a galley kitchen that is equipped with a laundry room. Ceiling to floor mirrors on the dining room wall creates a live action mural of the ocean beyond. Just of the great room is the stately primary suite complete with a kind sized bed. The bed frame is carved wood with marble inlay detail. Truly a bed fit for a king! The primary suite also offers a private bathroom with a shower tub combo, flat screen television, and sweeping ocean views.

Near the entry door you will find two guest rooms and a full bathroom located in the hallway that services these two rooms. The first guest room offers a king-sized bed, while the other guest room provides versatility by providing two full sized beds.

Take a stroll along the water’s edge to Mason’s Inlet to the north where exclusive Figure Eight Island is a stone’s throw away. Whether you are interested in a plethora of amenities or just looking for a quiet place to escape to the coastline - “Michael” is sure to provide the vacation getaway that you have been craving.

Occupancy: 8:
Stay Restrictions: Sunday to Sunday rental in Summer. Minimum of two-night stay in other seasons.
Bedding Recap: 2 King, 2 Full.
Parking: Two reserved parking spaces are available under the building.
Prohibited: Smoking, Pets, RV's, Boats, Boat Trailers, Trailers, Mail or Packages being sent to the rental.
Featured Amenities: Outdoor Shower, Covered Parking, Community Pool, Elevator, Secure Lobby, Tennis Court, Ocean Front.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

The Duneridge complex requires all vehicles to display an HOA issued parking pass while parked on the property to avoid citation. All reservations year round will require parking passes which will be issued to the reservation holder at the time of check in. Seasonal parking fees will apply for stays that occur between March 1 and October 31 and cost may vary based on the length of stay. Fees are intended to be included in the quoted price if applicable for your reservation. However, based on length of stay, arrival and departure dates, or booking channel method used to secure the reservation fees may require manual adjustment by the agent. Although rare, should this occur, the agent may request to be paid directly after confirming your reservation. Passes are strictly enforced and limited to two per rental unit; no exceptions can be made.

The location was great and the view was fantastic. Overall the place was nice but there were two important things that need to be updated. Whenever we did laundry, our clothes came out with sand on them (no matter how many rinse cycles...and the sand wasn’t from our clothes) AND the washing machine drum has rust and stained our clothes with rust!! Also, the shower doors were black with mold behind the handles and where they join with the shower so those doors badly need to be replaced. If they fixed those two issues, we would stay there again.

When we first arrived the shower knob in the master bathroom was sitting on the sink. We immediately called and reported the issue. A technician arrived a few hours later and replaced the shower knob. Also we were aware we needed paper towels and other paper products. However we were surprised the bathrooms only had a half of a roll in each. With 8 women, we easily ran out the first day. We just assumed housekeeping would ensure there was a new roll in each bathroom. (The kitchen had paper towels and cleaning products which was great)

The bathrooms should be deep cleaned. There is a lot of mold in both bathrooms especially in the tub/shower and on the shower doors. The sink in master bathroom has a lot of dirt and grime in and around it. The carpet is in dire need of a cleaning. There are stains and spots all over. The balcony furniture is extremely outdated and falling apart. The pictures of the balcony furniture is not a true depiction of what is in the unit. There are two chairs at the table and one lounger. The cushions are very old and dirty. I remember reading a review last year and someone mentioned the same thing about the balcony furniture. Overall the condo is very nice, the appliances worked, the linens were clean and the tv worked. I feel with a good deep clean and updated balcony furniture this unit would definitely be a 5 star. Since the main issues are cosmetic this can easily be corrected.

Hi Catina, thank you for your review. I am sorry the Michael didn't meet your expectations. As you noted, our maintenance staff responded the same day for your repair. Before a guest arrives, the units are inspected to make sure of cleanliness and the required amount of paper products and cleaning supplies are provided. Each unit always has one unopen paper towel per kitchen and an unopen toilet paper roll per bathroom, which is communicated to guests before they arrive so you can prepare ahead of time if you anticipate needing more than provided. I will pass on to the owners the updates you suggested so they can make decisions on any changes they would like to implement in the future. We hope you will visit the Michael condo again in the future and enjoy the beautiful ocean front view and the great location!

Great location, rental company was great, everything worked as promised with lock combinations, parking passes etc. This is the second time we have rented this property and were only disappointed in a couple things. Out door furniture is in bad shape and missing half of what is shown in the photo for the property and we found a few greasy pots and pans that were in need of being replaced.

Hey Pat, great to hear you returned back to the Michael condo! We are glad you love the location - the north end definitely offers something special being on the quieter side. We are working closely with the homeowners this offseason to make some improvements and will bring up the outdoor furniture to hopefully get some more seating out there. They just replaced the vertical blinds in the unit with curtains which we are excited about! I will swing by the property on the next vacancy to take a look at those pots/pans and replace if needed. If you ever need something during your stay, give us a call and we can deliver a new pan as we stock them at the office. Very Nice Long Labor Day Weekend

My family and I spent a long labor day weekend at Michael. The unit was clean, spacious and quiet. Decor is not very beachy, but functional. Porch furniture had only two chairs and they need to be upgraded. Great weekend and easy rental experience.

Despite the riptide, our family enjoyed our mini-vacation at Wrightsville. The Michael condo was comfy and the view was spectacular.
Slats were missing from the blinds in the master bedroom, so we had to improvise by hanging a sheet so we wouldn't wake up too early.
The unit is showing its age, but nothing that kept us from enjoying it. We'd stay there again.

THE PICTURE SHOWS 5 DECK CHAIRS. THERE ARE 3. WOULD HAVVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE 4 TAVLE CHAIRS FOR EATING OUT. THE VIEW IS WONDERFUL. THE STAFF IS VERY RESPONSIVE. THIS MET OUR NEEDS PERFECTLY. THE OWNER SHOULD UPDATE LIVING ROOM FURNITURE. IT NEEDS SHORING UP TO BE COMFORTABLE. COOKING PANS ARE NOT ADEQUATE BUT THERE IS A NICE RESTAURANT HALF A MILE DOWN THE BEACH AT SHELL ISLANT RESORT.

The Michael Condo was very nice. I stayed there with four other adults. There was more than enough room. We cooked several times, there were enough kitchen items to meet our cooking needs. Easy access to the Beach and Pool. For the pool, get off on the first floor. We live in Florida where ceiling fans are normal, no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We had to adjust the Air down to accommodate. I also must have missed there would be no beach towels. Bring beach towels. You may want to consider keeping some board games there for rainy days.

The Michael condo was perfect for our stay, I didn't have huge expectations aftrr reading the most recent reviews, but the condo was very clean and suited our purpose. If you want high end accommodations this is not the condo for you. Like I said everything was very clean, but it was dated and somewhat worn.

We have stayed in Duneridge for the past 15 years and love the complex, location, privacy and overall beach access/views. Over the years we have learned to only rent on floors 3 or 4 as the lower units have an obstructed beach view because of the dunes. The ocean facing deck is one of our favorite features of Duneridge units. There have been some nice updates to the bldg lobby/stairwells and landing areas that really make a difference.

As for this unit, it was located in bldg 2 on the 3rd floor. The updated keypad (no physical key) was nice and easy to use. The rest of the unit was disappointing. Did everything work? Yes. But this place has not been updated in years, maybe since original owners. The kitchen is outdated and equipped with only the basic needs. The furniture throughout the unit is massive (too big/dark for the space), the lighting is old/dim, the beds creak and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are also original, with peeling wallpaper and stained sinks. The deck furniture and cushions was broken, sagging and dirty. We didn’t come to WB to stay inside, so while we disliked the decor (personal preference), we didn’t let it ruin our trip.

Overall, we love WB, the access/views available at Duneridge, but would not rent this unit again unless it was the only option.

I honestly did not have high expectations when I booked Michael last minute. It was only one of four properties left for Memorial Day Weekend in Wrightsville. But, Michael is a great little condo...yes, the furniture is dated and the kitchen and bathrooms definitely need updating, but it was fine for a quick last minute long weekend getaway. It was clean and comfortable and truly how much time do you spend in the condo when you are at the beach. The views from the condo and balcony are beautiful and the balcony furniture is comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in Michael.

Stayed in Duneridge Michael unit: 3rd floor oceanfront. Views of the sunrise are spectacular. You can also go out onto the front entryway area and watch the sunset over the Sound.
Positives: Covered balcony a DEFINITE plus: we have stayed in the adjacent property multiple times in the past and they did not have this. Master suite bed very comfy. LOTS of extra blankets if needed. Fold-up chairs available: we used these to sit out in the front and watch the sunset. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for cooking: we cook in more than we eat out and we had no issues: really great!

Negatives: Two of the chairs on the deck need to be replaced: one totally unusable and one close to that. Didn't affect us as we were only two people, but if 4 people had stayed there it would have been an issue. Galley kitchen narrow and not conducive for more than one person working at the same time. Lights in the main kitchen area and in both of the bathrooms were fluorescent and hummed a lot. Annoying.

We visited in October, so we did not take advantage of the pool, but just want to mention that The pool area is wonderful: chairs/tables with umbrellas. Large pool.

Keyless lock on the unit has pros and cons; not having to take a key to the beach is nice but not having a physical key prevents entry to the pool from parking lot and, worse, prevents bathroom entrance at the pool. Eager to hear your fix.

Thank you for your review Jim! I am sorry to hear that you had issues with not having a key for the pool and the pool bathrooms. Unfortunately, all of the common areas are managed by the HOA and they do not issue keys for the pool area or the pool bathrooms. When you checked in the code for the pool area was listed on your packet, along with the lobby door code. Also, the HOA has informed us that they have a pool attendant that will open the bathrooms for anyone that needs to use them. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience of not having a key for these areas, but it is out of our control.

It was our second time staying at Michael. Although it is a bit dated, it has everything needed for a comfortable vacation. The only things I would recommend is for the refrigerator to be cleaned better upon arrival and a broom and dustpan to keep up with sand that gets tracked in. I would definitely recommend Michael for a beautiful view and comfortable stay.

Our June vacation to Duneridge

The location was fabulous. Duneridge has wonderful amenities. The pool, and the beach access were great. It would have been nice to have a key to the restrooms at the pool. Other renters did, but we did not. Our unit was a great size. The beds were comfortable, the newer carpeting was nice, but the other furnishings were old. The couch needs to be replaced as the cushions have no remaining "cush"! The cushions on the outdoor furniture need replacing too. We had an issue with the cleanliness of the guest bathroom shower - a big mold problem, but Bryant Realty sent a crew in to clean it and apologized that it wasn't clean on our arrival. The shower door in the master bath only opened on one side, or fell off the runners. The vertical shades throughout need repair, as some are missing slats. We just left most of them in the open position the entire time so as not to have slats fall off. Lastly, the air intake needs a good cleaning; probably a filter change, too. The cursory cleanliness throughout was good, but a deep cleaning is probably warranted. Michael could be fantastic with a few upgrades! We enjoyed our stay on North Wrightsville Beach.

We had a great vacation at Wrightsville Beach. We stayed in Michael. I was a bit apprehensive after reading a few reviews but was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit dated but very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The view from

We LOVE Wrightsville Beach! Duneridge is a fantastic property with wonderful amentites! Perfect location; fabulous beach; great pool! This unit, however, could use some upgrades. The floor plan was comfortable and so were the beds. The unit was generally clean and well-stocked, with appliances in good working order; however, the carpet is soiled and probably should be replaced. The shower enclosures were stained and a little odd, but workable. I would definitely choose Duneridge again, but will probably select a different unit next time.

Overall a good experience. We would do it again. Dune Ridge is a great property. The week before school started it was quiet- a bonus. Awesome pool. Bryant was great to work with. Unit could stand some updating but it was clean and in good condition.

Awesome and relaxing week with my grown children. Beautiful beach. Nice view. Plenty of room for everyone. Furniture just a little out dated but overall Acomodations were great. Nice pool with view of ocean. Great for all ages

We stayed in the Michael Unit; liked the layout; furniture is very dated, but okay. I reported that the sofas were dirty and needed to be cleaned.
Only two patio chairs worked; we had 4 people; the lounge chair was broken; I reported this and eventually one chair sling was replaced; the lounge chair was never repaired. They had put 4 metal chairs on patio that had become rusted. We will not stay in this unit again. Management could have responded more promptly and showed more concern. I would recommend the Condominium complex; not the Michael unit.

Always love Wrightsville Beach, I've stayed there for the last 20 years, last 10 years at Duun Ridge. This unit was less than I had expected. The united needed maintenance. Out of the porch feature only 2 chairs were useable and the recliner needs to be fixed. i would not rent this again.

Vacation was wonderful and staying Ocean Front really made it special. The ocean views from the condo are breath taking. Highly recommend this place and the Wilmington area.

Gorgeous condo on the beach in Wrightsville

This home is eautifully decorated very clean. I loved that it had 2 bedrooms with king sized beds and 3rd bedroom with 2 doubles. My parents came with us so were all very comfortable. Nice sized balcony with beautiful view of the ocean. I highly recommend this property!!
