Wrightsville Beach Renourishment
Wrightsville Beach currently has a beach renourishment project set to begin in the first two weeks of January. This could cause certain parts of the beach to have limited access, and some homes could experience restricted views. The renourishment project will see 1 million cubic yards of sand added to the beach. As of now, the work is anticipated to be done by the end of March; however, bad weather and other unexpected incidents could delay the project. Workers will be on site 24/7. The sand will be placed from the Holiday Inn on the north side of Wrightsville Beach to about 500 yards south of Blockade Runner Beach Resort.
