We really appreciate that the Bryant staff was friendly and very helpful. Loved the wrap around porch, 2 decks and views of the ocean and sound. We love old houses and this one is quaint with good character, but could use a little TLC and maintenance. Examples: update beds and pillows (beds in secondary BRs are hard), nails poking out of floor boards on decks, some splintering. Loose handles on doors keeping them from staying closed. Light switch in main BR doesn’t control lamps, no overhead light, fan doesn’t work. Overall, we enjoyed the house and we had a great time with family.
Bridgers Cottage has been an absolutely fabulous place for our extended family to gather and enjoy a beach vacation.

Bridgers Cottage has been an absolutely fabulous place for our extended family to gather and enjoy a beach vacation. I believe we rented from Bryant in 2013 and 1995, and Bridgers is the best one yet! We love the location, the proximity to the beach, the views, the hammock, all the rocking chairs and other seating on the porches---I counted at least 48 places to sit outside! Bridgers is the perfect mix of the old and the new, and we love that it’s still in the Bridgers family. We have so appreciated their personal touches: the antiques, the books, the family photos, and the whole atmosphere. Bryant RE has been absolutely fabulous, very accommodating when my husband had a health emergency here and I’m going to work on the extended family to come again next year. Special thanks to Sarah, Kaitlyn, Meredith, Chris….and I hope I didn’t leave anyone out. You guys feel like old friends!

Bridgers offers large bedrooms and gathering spaces that accommodate our multigenerational family. The hardwood floors, rugs and antiques are comfy and inviting. We love the porches---from breakfast on the side giving view to the sound and sailboats and the front porch which faces the ocean give family rest and peace with comfortable rockers and wicker furnitureare. For us, this is what it is all about. The donwstairs decks promote the ideal spot to grill or play with the children after a day on the beach. Within walking distance to the Oceanic by walking on the old trolley side walk. No hotels nearby and on a quiet street with other houses give the feel of a more private beach experience. We love it--this was our 2nd experience here and have booked for next year.

Solid. Amazing views, spacious. Great location! We'd have loved for the beds to have been made after a long trip. Unwrapping the linens and towels was a hassle and then making beds on top of that. That was a bit much.

The views from this home are stunning and the large deck area allows for relaxation with the cool ocean breeze coming through. Unfortunately our bed making service is still halted due to COVID, primarily from guest feedback requesting their linens to be untouched for sanitation concerns. I can understand the nuisance after a long drive but we do hope to restart this process next year! We would love to host you again on your next beach getaway - keep Bridgers in mind!

We had a wonderful stay at Bridgers. All of our family gathered to celebrate our daughter's graduation from UNCW. We so enjoyed reading about the history of the place and the overall feeling of the home. It was just as the photos showed, very classy and had everything we needed for our stay. Great location and overall a lovely home.

This is a nice house to take a vacation in. It has great outdoor spaces and abundant furniture. Location on the beach is first rate. We all stayed upstairs. Downstairs seemed a little dark and stuffy. I would go back there another time.

Bridgers doesn't need my endorsement. It is always booked and lives up to the reputation. The home is spacious with hardwood floors, rugs and antiques as well as modern touches with appliances. The porches give ocean front views and the outdoor dining area provides sound views. Spacious seating indoors in the living and dining areas. Two outdoor showers and a separate downstairs with two bedrooms and shared bath give ample space for large families. Located near the south end on a quiet street with parking for 5 cars and limited street parking which limits the number of folks on the beach. A peaceful respite.

The Bridgers’ rental was perfect for our group. We loved the large, airy rooms and the rustic/antique look made it truly feel like a beach cottage. There were plenty of comfy beds and bedrooms and the layout of the bottom floor worked for our group, however, it may not work for all groups (especially small children). We were unaware that the two bottom bedrooms did not connect via interior stairwell before arrival and it worked out for our group with teens. The kitchen was large and well stocked and the dining area was great for group meals. All appliances worked, but each had a little trouble (dishwasher cycle took 3 hours, top oven cook very uneven, washing machine took forever and needed cleaned), but nothing that was a deal breaker. The best past was the vast deck space and outdoor seating that allowed for both ocean and inlet views. We loved the history referenced throughout the cottage and enjoyed our visit. We would definitely return!

Wonderful property with great ocean view. It was clean and well maintained. Both the owner and manager responded rapidly to some minor items. Excellent service. Only negative comment is the master bath is small. We have already recommended to friends. Be sure to try Portland Grill restaurant.

The porches and outdoor areas of the home are beautiful and the main level is perfect. The lower level area could use a dehumidifier. Also there is a home next door that is under major renovation and construction noise was a factor, which hopefully will not continue through the summer.

Top floor was cleaned. Bottom floor had not been touched. It was filthy from previous renters. My daughter and son-in-law cleaned it before it could be used. There were ants in one of the beds, top of refrigerator. We bought bug spray to alleviate ants in kitchen. My sons-in-law saw rat droppings in kitchen every morning. They did not tell us for fear of mass hysteria since we were traveling with five young girls. However, the day my daughter was leaving the rat scurried past her in the bathroom I did call bryant realty on way home to advise them. Other than those two problems the week was great. I would recommend this property but greater care and supervision must be taken in the preparation of this home in terms of cleanliness before a new renter uses it.

“Bridgers” is a popular 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom ocean front cottage located on the southern end of Wrightsville Beach. Nestled in the dunes and surrounded by lush foliage, this oasis is waiting for your family to arrive for a fun-filled, yet relaxing vacation!
Located on a quiet street with limited public parking, you’ll have the beach all to yourselves! The fantastic wraparound porch offers superb ocean views and outstanding sound sunsets! A great place for gazing at the ocean while relaxing in the comfortable outdoor furnishings. Have lunch on the side porch and watch boating activity on the sound. Your private pathway weaves it way through the dunes to the pristine beach!
The main level features a comfortably furnished living room that opens to the porch as does the nicely appointed master bedroom with bath. There is a separate, well-equipped kitchen, spacious dining room, and 3 guest rooms and 2 bathrooms also on this level.
Downstairs via a separate entry you’ll find 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Enjoy the lovely outdoor, shady sitting area with hammock. A perfect spot for reading a good book or catching a nap!
