We loved the location of this condo. Excellent view of the beach & ocean. We had a great time while we were there. Spent lots of time on the covered deck. For the most part everything seemed cleaned except there were several sightings of "water bugs" which completely freaked us out. We were told that they are "normal" for the area but that didn't bring much comfort. As far as dealing with Bryant Realty, they were very nice to work with, very friendly & helpful staff. The entire transaction was very easy to do online and they provided all the details & information that you need for the entire stay. Also, loved the keyless entry into the condo. Having to keep track of a pool key was a little annoying, though. $25 fee if lost! Pool area also very nice & clean.

Sounds like you met some of our "locals" (palmetto bugs) unforutanlty they are prone to the area due to being so close to paradise. No worries! This condo is sprayed for pest control monthly by the HOA to keep those little critters out the best way possible. Thank you for keeping track of the pool key! We ask guests to please make sure to keep the key on hand at all times and to please return at the end of their stay so the next incoming guests may enjoy the pool as well. Pros: The condo is beautiful, well stocked, very clean and right on the beach.
Cons:No hair dryer. It was cold and I had to dry my hair with a towel.The front door has no second lock. The maintenance Man came right in. A short knock and in he was. He has a master code and can open all the doors in the complex.There should be another lock so no one with door code could surprise you when you sleep.( Too much happens these days)My husband and I own a vacation rental here in Fayetteville and those doors are secured with double locks, a second security door, and an intrusion alarm. And it is located in a prime location.

You have to be out at 10:00 A and can't get in earlier than 4:00P. We had to come all the way back and pick up the parking pass even though we were there at the real estate office at 3:00P.( we would not have entered the condo earlier even though we had the door code.)Had the door code but they did not give us the parking pass so had to make extra trip to pick them up at the real estate office at 4:00P.

My absolute favorite place to stay when visiting Carolina Beach. This is my 5th time renting this condo and I typically give a 5 star review because it is just that awesome, but there were too many water bug sightings this time around. Better exterminator definitely needed

This property is exceptional in so many ways. It's nicely appointed, EXACTLY like the pictures, and the owners have done a great job of keeping it in good repair. The rooms are very comfortable, and the view simply magnificent! This unit is on the middle floor, with amazing oceanfront viewing and the benefit of overhead cover. We enjoyed watching pelicans, with breakfast on the deck in the morning, and cocktails on the deck in the evening. Just gorgeous! There was a problem with our access code on arrival, but Bryant Real Estate was quick to assist with only one phone call. This condo would have earned 5 stars across every category, except for a problem with the dishwasher. On arrival, we noticed the dishes and glassware looked spotty and dirty, even some remaining lipstick marks on the glasses. Unfortunately, they looked exactly the same after a trip through the dishwasher, and we learned that the dishwasher was leaking from the bottom of the door. We reported this to Bryant but didn't want our visit interrupted by service repairs. We ended up washing everything by hand which was challenging as there was no drainer or sink stopper. Given their attentiveness,I have no doubt Bryant has already addressed this problem, and the bottom line is WE WILL BE BACK! The unit is in a terrific location, on the "quiet" end of Carolina Beach, and except for washing dishes, we enjoyed every moment!

For the past three years, my wife and I have spent either our wedding anniversary or birthday at Carolina Beach. This is our second stay at Sharpe and it will be the only place we stay from here on out. Clean, spacious, beautiful views and big deck for drinking wine and watching the waves. Again, everything lovely. With regard to making reservations, I was not happy to find a 5 hour fee added for early check in without my authorization. I merely indicated that I may arrive early and would like an early check-in if possible. It wasn't until my reservation was finalized that I discovered the additional fee. That is something you will want to watch as you don't see the clause for the additional fee until you complete the reservation and sent a rental contract.

When you book online, early check in is not an option. However, you stated "Travelling in from Maryland. Early check-in requested. Expected time of arrive between 12:30 - 1pm". Our reservationist processed this request and sent you a confirmation for you to review with the charge. You then realized that per the contract and based on your request, there is a fee associated with this. You called in and stated you did not want the early check in then despite your request. We removed the charges and you were allowed to check in as scheduled. I am sorry if you found this process difficult but so glad things got sorted out and you got exactly what you wanted. This rental and Bryant Realty far exceeded my expectations and I will certainly not only use them but have no hesitation regarding recommendation for rentals to friends and family. Two family members stayed elsewhere through a different service and were amazed at the place I rented. The property location was very convenient to all the shops and restaurants in the area. The beaches were very clean. The condo balcony looked directly at the ocean. The condo had sufficient space for our needs and the kitchen had enough pots and pans for cooking. We did however find some spices and sauces that were over 5 years old. If you plan to cook, I would recommend bringing your own spices. Also the ice maker was leaking and the refrigerator was noisy at times. This was reported to Bryant. There is a small restaurant, Granny's Kitchen, directly across the street from the complex that offers great breakfast and lunch. We took the ferry over to Southport for a day and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Overall we had a good 9 days at the condo and weather was almost perfect. There is a pool at the complex and I did ask about access to it before arriving and I was told by Bryant that they were not sure if it would be open. So about mid-week of our vacation, I noticed people at the pool. In order to obtain access to the pool, you need a key. We called Bryant to obtain a key. We were told a key would be delivered, but it would take 4 days. This was two days before we were scheduled to leave. A key was not delivered to us and Bryant did not followup. Also about mid-week, we dealt with cockroaches in the condo which we reported to Bryant. This was my first experience with cockroaches at a rental and for this reason it was not a perfect place.

Taking a Ferry ride over to Southport is a great day trip for sure and Granny's kitchen is wonderful. This is a beautiful condo, but unfortunately we do get water bugs here. All of our units are sprayed on a monthly basis and more if needed. We do hope you had a great vacation and will come back to see us again next year.

From the moment we walked in the door, the view was magnificent. The condo itself was relaxing and cozy. They even had a notebook of restaurants that we used and had much success with. If we get over that way again, we will definitely use the same!

Mom and I rented the condo for several days. It is handsomely furnished, has great knives and other kitchen accessories. Beds are comfortable, and the blinds work well to control the bright morning sun. The deck is nearly eye level with the ocean above the dunes. Great place to stay and relax.

As a repeat guest at that condo I was overall satisfied with the condition and the location of the unit. I was however very dissatisfied with the condition of the dirty dishes that the last guest had left in the cabinets. My wife and I had to rewash the majority of the dishes due to food being stuck on them.

The weather didnt cooperate with us this time but my Sister and I still had a wonderful, relaxing visit. This condo was very well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful view. Love the large balcony/porch. The only reason I didnt give a five on cleanliness was because some of the pot/pans-and utensils were a little greasy feeling but no big deal. We just put them in the dishwasher before we used them. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

My family spent most waking hours either at the pristine beach, the nice pool or on the very large oceanfront balcony of our condo. The condo was nicely decorated, well stocked and clean. There was an issue with a non-working dryer but that was resolved quickly and in the whole scheme of things did not negatively impact our stay.I would highly recommend this family friendly area. We are actually considering moving to the area soon.

This condo was very satisfactory in every way. It was nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen utensils were well stocked and of good quality. The bed was very comfortable. It had a nice balcony off the living room and master bedroom so one could see the ocean from either room. It was very pleasant to see the sunrise from the master bedroom. I would rent it again and encourage anyone else to rent it as well who had in mind to keep it the way they found it and not do anything to mar its appearance.

This condo has a wonderful view of the ocean! We enjoy having our coffee on the patio, watching the sunrise. In the past four years, we have found The Deck House and Rucker John's to be our favorite restaurants in the area. We enjoyed golfing at Echo Farms and other courses in the vicinity. Antiquing is a fun adventure in Wilmington. There is a lot to see and do! My personal new favorite ...sea turtles. Over the years, we have seen the nests marked. Watched from a distance, until this year. Many thanks goes out to the Pleasure Island Sea Turtle Project volunteers for all that they do. My "little bit of" assistance and guidance of the hatchlings into the ocean was so exciting! The team working the nest was great. Thanks for letting me help you.

This rental at Sea Colony is the best one I've ever stayed at, with my family renting there for the last 20+ years. It was updated, clean, and welcoming. Positives: The unit had a great location & view. The setup with the 2 bedrooms being split was perfect for 2 couples. We brought our own linens, and there was a full size washer & dryer in the unit which was very helpful! The furnishings on the large deck were also wonderful (2 tables & 6 tall Adirondack chairs). The ocean was the calmest & most beautiful the whole week were there plus there was usually a nice breeze. It wasn't very crowded either. We saw dolphins swimming by many days, witnessed a sea turtle rescue on the beach one day, checked in on the sea turtle nest that was due to hatch anyday- but it didn't while we were there : ( and also enjoyed watching the many pelicans. VERY relaxing beach trip.
Negatives: The bed in the front bedroom (non-master) was EXTREMELY the point I think it would have been preferable to sleep on the wooden dock instead of that bed. It hurt my hip it was so hard and non-supportive and several nights we couldn't fall asleep for the discomfort and constant repositioning necessary. The other couple said the bed in the master BR was fine. Didn't feel the cleanliness was the best because: some dishes we got from cupboards had a film on them, so we washed again; the shower in the non-master bedroom looked a bit grimy; the sofa is a light color and looked dirty. The TV was difficult to operate, even following directions. Only 1 of the 4 adults staying could figure out how to turn it on & off. The on-site pool is very small and has very limited swim hours, and it has seen better days. We didn't understand why you had to use a key to get OUT to the beach via a locked path, whereas to return to the Condos, no key was necessary. Did they put the door on incorrectly? Odd.

Overall it was a great week. My only real complaint was no TV in the second bedroom. My wife and I took my mother for her birthday. She really enjoys her private time and her TV. I would not have rented the unit even though it was very nice if I had known that there was no TV in the second bedroom. I know I have repeated this but not nearly as many times as I heard it during the week stay. If the weather is great or you enjoy reading or playing games it is a fantastic unit.

Overall it was really good! Our rental was bright and decorated nicely. The rooms were great for my family. The views from our covered porch were beautiful. Location was perfect . A few small challenges : no carport ( thought we were told our rental came with one ), difficulty with Internet access ( was finally fixed on our 3rd day), and the plastic blinds kept falling off ., Those were minor things though in comparison to the great time we had. Loved our stay. Great vacation!

Upon arrival, found elevator was not working (one of the main reasons we chose this unit because my mom is 83 and stairs can be difficult for her) which realty company hadn't told us about (maybe they weren't aware) but there was a man from a different real estate company there helping his renters with their luggage so he gratiously got our luggage to the 2nd floor for us since we were a party of 3 females. We entered the unit and it smelled either of smoke or mold; didn't smell fresh, clean and inviting. Furnishings were beautiful. We were able to sit on the deck and see beach and ocean, which was the 2nd reason we chose this unit. Unit was sort of far away from the beach entrance which was a locked door. Only had one key to the gate so we all had to go out to the beach at the same time which took away from some of the freedom of vacation. Comforters were soiled on the underside, mattress pads stained, thankfully we took our own linens which we placed on top of the comforters. One bathroom had hairs in bathtub, other one didn't have bath mat in tub but was found in the vanity and was moldy so had to buy one as my mom was afraid to get in tub without one for fear of slipping; toilet was dirty in that bathroom as well. Trash can in kitchen was dirty, something sticky dripped on lid and had a crab leg on inside. The cleanliness has nothing to do with owners or realty company, however, I would recommend that realtor do a thorough check after cleaning is done in future. We have stayed at this complex previously but in a different unit and there were absolutely no problems. We did not report problems to realtor until we checked out as none of these complaints were urgent or emergent. We just felt that they needed to be aware and maybe find a different cleaning company. Owners need to know of these problems, as well, which is main reason that I am posting the negatives. Condo was extremely nice and if it were closer to beach would definitely rent it again.

The large covered deck has gracious outdoor seating and spectacular views of the Atlantic.
