It’s my first time renting a beach house just literally across the massive ocean and it did not disappoint as I am a sunrise/sunset lover. I love the location of this beach house unit, just next to the beach access. Very convenient! I was greeted by friendly staff upon check-in and even allowed me to check in a little early. The place is very homie and I just love it! I brought my family and close friends as well. They love our vacation just by the beach. It will definitely not be the last. I was also surprised that the internet worked so well. One thing that needs improvement though is the hallway sink. It was not working and the bathroom sink as well was not draining fast enough. Though, I didn’t let that bother my stay. Thanks for the wonderful experience at Kure Beach!

We’ve stayed at Ocean’s Dunes countless times but Bryant is hands down the best realities we’ve worked with! Yerby was the best set up for us and our kids and in the perfect location to access the beach, outdoor pool AND indoor pool! The deck chairs allowed us to sit and see the ocean with looking through the bars of the railing.

Only suggestions we had - Guest queen mattress does need replaced, and one of the deck chairs is in need of repair.

Otherwise, I can’t wait to be back in Summer of ‘24 (summer of 23 is with my in-laws and this is a Miller family tradition ❤️)

Positives: Location (Directly on the beach!)

Areas of Improvement: While the description says linens will be provided, we did not expect to make up our own beds upon arrival. Also, you will want to bring ALL the basics and some to make your stay comfortable. For example, if planning on bringing anything with you that will result in trash, you will want to bring trash bags as only one trash bag was provided in the main trash can. Also, no dish soap is provided and only 1 dishwasher tablet provided. Also bring own laundry detergent, as there is no detergent at all provided in the property.

All in all, if had known the extent of packing of basic essentials that would need to be done to stay in this property (used to staying in vacation rentals that are very accommodating), we may have resorted to looking into a different property. However, can't deny that the location is perfect!

The location is great! You can't get any closer to the water, and with this being an end unit, the boardwalk to the beach was right next to us- you're down to the beach in seconds. The unit was clean, but the kitchen is understocked - not a lot of large serving platters or bowls, limited on kitchen utensils, toaster was not working and television in living room and master bedroom was not working, which was no big deal as we weren't in the unit all that much.

2nd year staying at this location and will be back - we like the quiet of this area and easy access to the beach - Unit needs some small updates but it fit our needs - had one issue with the main sliding door and maintenance came out very quick to see if this could be fixed - door was almost impossible to open - was not fixed during our stay so we used the bedroom doors which was a bit of an inconvenience but we made do - overall, great time with my family for relaxation and reflection of a busy year -

Spacious floor plan, open concept allowing families to bond together in the living, dining, and kitchen, and the location! Fort Fisher, the aquarium with the all new otter exhibit, and the ferry to beautiful historic Southport is only about a 2 to 3 minute drive from this condo. Thank you for alerting us about the slider door in the living room. We have investigated the issue and have determined that the slider door rollers need to be replaced. The owners are currently in the process of fixing this issue. We're happy to see that this not hender your beach retreat! We love Ocean Dunes for the convenience and location. Pros: awesome location (oceanfront), plenty of seating in den, main floor unit (not as many stairs), clean pools. Cons: matresses are very hard (seem cheap); sliding doors almost impossible to open. My 80yr old Dad had a very hard time. NO ICE MAKER in freezor! In the year 2021, I expect to have an ice maker!! Thank you for the opportunity to stay :)

Me and my kids loved it here. It was right on the beach which they thought was the best thing ever. I mean who wakes up and gets to see dolphins! I would def stay here again. The place is close to everything you need and the activities.

We loved the location and the facilities, though the pool closed every afternoon and eventually for good due to coronavirus concerns. The beach views were great and the beach was not crowded at all. This unit was on the first floor with another unit above it. No one was there during our stay, but if there had been someone there our deck roof would have been their floor, and we would have received anything they spilled onto our table and chairs.

There were a few things that didn't work when we got there on Saturday - smoke detector missing was replaced on Saturday, ceiling fan inoperable replaced Wednesday, hall light burned out and master shower door loose repaired Wednesday. The master bedroom sliding door is permanently closed, so it is just a really big window.

Internet service was VERY slow. Do not count on doing any work from here, but it was enough to stream TV to one device at a time most of the time.

We encountered two giant roaches in the front two bedrooms, and found one more in a backpack (from the front bedroom) when we arrived back home. Pest control visited on Monday but did not seem to stop these.

Check-in and check-out was super easy, but not in person. The management company was very responsive when we contacted them and dealt with issues right away.

Kure Beach is a really good vacation spot. This unit is almost at the end of the beach next to Fort Fisher (we could walk there) and so there was not much foot traffic or road traffic to deal with except when driving up to restaurants in Carolina Beach or Wilmington.

The overall stay was great. Nice location and unit was clean. A few opportunities to bite: construction being done right beside unit, making parking difficult. The outdoor pool was not cleaned during our stay. The remote to the living room TV was broken on arrival and never replaced. No TV to watch. Technology old and needs upgrades to pair with current devices. Bringing sheets and towels was a pain. I’d go for the rental next time.

We would have been glad to come and bring a remote for the TV if you had contacted us, our maintenance tech went down after you reported this on check out to find that the remotes did work it was missing one for the TV that controls Netflixs and other functions for smart TV's. We do advertise on all our properties that linens are only included on stays 5 nights to 21 nights, but you are welcome to rent them for shorter stays or bring your own. We are glad to hear that you had a nice time and we hope to see you next year.

It was a great week. A little trouble finding it on the property upon arrival. Sinks and closets need a good cleaning. An outside shower or hose to rinse sand off feet would be helpful. Overall we loved it!

Everything was exactly as presented. We had a wonderful time. There was a small plumbing problem in the kitchen. The response was super quick and we were back in business in no time. I would definitely go back. Our only problem was having to leave.

We had a wonderful time on vacation. The condo location was perfect. Even on the raining days we were so close to the ocean we felt like we were still on the beach. The condo was clean. We did some light cooking so we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Would recommend to a friend.

We had a rocky start to our trip due to a mistake on air bnb’s part. Even though Bryant wasn’t at fault, they strive to make up for it. Great customer service. The house is dated, but it didn’t matter. Relaxing on the back deck with that ocean view... can’t be beat. We appreciated that this property had a pool for the kiddos to use.

The property was as described and depicted on its advertisement. We knew going in that the furniture and condo itself is a little dated, so we were not concerned. Our only complaint was that the wallpaper and shower in the shared bathroom are getting a little rough - there is either mold or mildew coming in on the pealing wallpaper and the bottom of the tub could use some resurfacing.

The location of this condo could not be better. This particular unit is right next to a beach access, and the recreation center with the indoor pool and hot tub were just a short walk up the street. The NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Historic Fort Fisher are literally RIGHT up the road, and Carolina Beach shopping and eating is very convenient.

One of us did wake up to a dead mouse in one of the bedrooms one morning, but the night before had been pretty cold, so he probably came in from outside.

A wonderful location and unit and we enjoyed our stay! The only drawback was the sleeper couch bed which was like all or most sleeper sofa's.....terrible! Two of our guests had to sleep on the floor. I recommend a portable air bed of some sort be available for use instead of the sleeper! If we ever come back we would be happy to rent this place again!

The location was AMAZING!!! The beach is so private and uncrowded. The water is warm and our vacation was wonderful! We will be back every summer! The rental unit was great except for the kitchen. Several pots and pans were dirty and had dried up food in them. I know that the rental company has no control over this, but it was gross.

Wonderful location! We have stayed at ocean dunes for over 30 yrs. The unit was very well stocked in the kitchen. It was a little difficult to not have an ice maker in the freezer. Beds were very comfortable. The carpet has had it. I would be embarrassed if this belonged to me. Overall a very nice stay! Love Bryant Real Estate.

"Yerby" has an open floor living plan with a well equipped kitchen, barstool seating at the pass through, a dining area and living room with sleeper sofa and access to the oceanfront deck. There is a wet bar off the living room area for extra counter space and storage. The primary bedroom has a Queen bed, private bath and access to the oceanfront deck. One of the guest bedrooms features a Queen bed, while the other contains two Twin beds. There is a second full hallway bath. The unit is complete with 3 TV/DVDs, high speed wireless internet, and comfy furnishings.

Ocean Dunes is an ideal year-round vacation spot for families! Located at the southern end of Pleasure Island, in Kure Beach next to Historic Fort Fisher, Ocean Dunes occupies one mile of beachfront with several private beach walkways. Included with your reservation is access to all the amenities Ocean Dunes offers, as well as the Recreation Center. Amenities include three outdoor pools, a children's playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and a shuffleboard court. *Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events.
