Description

“Good Ole Waves” is by far the most darling cottage on Carolina Beach. It was constructed in the 1930’s and has charming cedar siding. This cottage combines all the necessary elements for a cozy, heartwarming stay from the inside to the front porch, screened in porch, and back deck.

When you enter the property, you make your way through the quaint living area with hearty wood floors and whitewashed walls. As you make your way towards the kitchen, you pass the Queen bedroom and Full bedroom. There is also a Twin daybed. There is access to the main floor bathroom with a beautifully tiled stand-up shower from the hallway. The kitchen has all the essentials including a large utility sink to prepare dinner for family or friends. Once dinner is prepared, there is a massive dining table to eat and socialize around.

On the upper level, you will find the primary bedroom with a King bed and en suite bathroom. The primary bedroom is spacious with lovely ocean views. In the primary bathroom, you will find a clawfoot tub that is perfect for soaking in on a relaxing evening.

The ground floor houses the laundry facility as well as another full bathroom. The closest beach access is Oyster Shell Public access across the street.

Don't miss a spectacular sunrise, the awesome donuts at Britt's, watching for playful dolphins, Thursday night fireworks on the beach or the Farmer's Market at the Lake. You'll want to immerse yourself in the myriad of activities offered on Pleasure Island. If it rains, head down south the the Fort Fisher Aquarium, or check out the historical site. Maybe you want to take a ferry ride over to Southport for the day, or perhaps go hiking in the maritime forest of Carolina Beach State Park. Make your plans today and be "Good Ole Waves" on Pleasure Island for your next vacation.

Stay Requirements: Any Turn Day. Minimum two night stay.
Bedding Configuration: 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full, 1 Twin Day Bed
Parking: Parking behind home for three vehicles
Pet Policy: Dogs welcome with a nonrefundable fee that is charged per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs per reservation.
Prohibited: Smoking, RV’s, Boats, Boat Trailers, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

Property Security: For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have exterior security cameras located on the front door (doorbell camera).

Fatastic roomy home across the street from beach. We have a very old 70lb dog&my husband would carry him up and down the stairs. It was a little to hot to sleep on the ground floor at the time-but sleeping down there would be a good old dog, stair free option.

Had everything we needed. Great area, easy beach access, and super charming details.

Only complaint was an excessive amount of dog much it was on the kitchen table, counters, porch, and all over the bed comforters. There was so much we couldn't sweep and get it all. Recommend a thorough deep clean. We have a hypoallergenic pooch ourselves and love dogs but don't enjoy living in their hair.

Great location, ocean across the street.very nice porch with chairs & you can hear the waves. Beds were comfortable. Very nice large washer & dryer. Nice outdoor shower to wash sand off before entering the house. Could use some general maintenance such as bushes need trimmed, bathroom door upstairs doesn’t close, drawer near refrigerator rubs & hard to open. There are no kitchen dish towels I suggest bringing your own. We had to use paper towels. Would also be nice to have a least one extra bath towel & wash cloth
