Make your plans today to stay at "Grohman", a 2 bedroom 1st floor oceanfront condo at Ocean Dunes in Kure Beach!

The open design of the living room, dining area, and well equipped kitchen has breath taking views of the Atlantic. Sip your coffee out on the oceanfront deck and watch the sunrise as the waves roll in. Relax in the living room with the comfortable layout and furniture (the sofas is a pullout bed) and flat screen TV. The main bedroom features a Queen bed, mounted TV, private en suite bathroom, and access to the oceanfront deck. The 2nd bedroom has 2 Twin beds, utilizing the additional full bathroom in the hallway.

Ocean Dunes is an ideal year-round vacation spot for families! Located at the southern end of Pleasure Island, in Kure Beach next to Historic Fort Fisher, Ocean Dunes occupies one mile of beachfront with several private beach walkways. Included with your reservation is access to all the amenities Ocean Dunes offers, as well as the Recreation Center. Amenities include three outdoor pools, a children's playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and a shuffleboard court. The Recreation Center has an indoor pool, whirlpool/spa, gym, saunas, and showers. For Recreation Center Hours and Information, call 910.239.1370.

Ocean Dunes is located on the southern tip of the Island where you can find the unique coquina rocks that bubble up with fresh water. There is plenty of room for soaking up the sun or swimming in the cool waters. Take a stroll along the shore to see what treasures you can find using the private beach access.

If you are visiting for the first time make sure you schedule a day at the NC Aquarium, or the Civil War Museum. Available Ferry Rides schedules time for you to visit the quaint little Ocean front town of Southport, where you will find little shops and plenty of antique stores. From Memorial Day to Labor Day bring the kids and drive up to Carolina Beach Boardwalk for rides, games and the famous Britt's Donuts, watch the fireworks on Thursday nights or the Free movie at the lake on Sunday nights. There is fun for all ages, so start making your memories today.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

Nice unit but by not taking care of the little things not a great unit.
The master bath had a missing towel rack which we noticed every day for two weeks. Toilet seat broken but usable. Many electrical outlets not working. In the kitchen microwave electrical outlet and/or cord faulty resulting in microwave losing power if microwave was bumped. Kitchen did not have a can opener. Shower in second bathroom had a faulty on/off button. Main door misaligned resulting in a hard to close door.
Good items include nice furniture in living room, dining area and deck. Not much beach in front of unit but very close to ocean which was cool.
If little things were corrected we would use this unit again.
Interaction with Bryant was positive.

Loved our vacation but the codo definitely needs updating. Loose parkay flooring throughout that could be a safety hazard. Fixtures fell off the walls.

Ocean view perfect! Outside furniture perfect! Apartment pretty clean. Inside: furniture pretty comfortable, kitchen serviceable, beds ok comfort. But: stove light out, twin bedroom some electric outlets dead, not enough covers for twin beds, wires cut/torn on tv/dvd input. Apt needs a general run through of inexpensive updates.

Our time in Kure Beach was just what we needed after a busy spring! The place was perfect and the proximity to the beach couldn't be better. You can almost feel the spray on your face at high tide. The facilities were awesome and having the largest indoor pool on the island came in handy for the when it was rainy.

We really enjoyed this property. Having pool access was great! Loved being right on the beach. Having dinner watching the ocean was so peaceful. Water pressure was great. Not the most updated... but I didn't feel like I needed to stress about things with my kids either. Water pressure was amazing. I do wish they had plastic plates, but they had plenty of dishes for our needs. We would stay there again.

We've stayed at this condo several times and have always enjoyed it. This last visit, I noticed several issues that need addressing. 1)Hand towel rack in master bath has come away from the wall and needs replaced more securely. 2)The lavatory drain in the master bath needs a plunge; water is slow to go down. 3)I mentioned after a previous visit that the overhead light fixture in the kitchen is out and needs new bulbs, yet they have not been replaced. The condo is showing some wear and tear, needs a fresh coat of paint, but all in all, it's still our favorite getaway.

Beautiful location right on the beach. No stairs to climb. Elevator within steps of the front door. Very clean. An enjoyable experience. This was my 2nd visit to Grohman. I would suggest, however, that it be updated. The couch, although pretty, is so old it's no longer comfortable and the beds aren't very comfortable;otherwise, it was perfect for a few days' stay.

The ease of booking and the check in process was definitely nice. There was a weather related issue with my specific property. The information concerning this received from the rental company wasn't exactly correct.

Perfect location right on the beach at quiet Ft. Fisher. The condo was comfortable and very clean. The elevator from the ground up was an added bonus. No stairs! The only faults we found with the accommodations was the master bedroom's mattress is too hard and the bath tub in the hall is very slippery. That's a liability that needs attention, otherwise, we couldn't have been happier with our choice of condos. Take your Roku or Firestick and hook it up to the TV for streaming and you're set for a very relaxing vacation.

Our vacation stay was absolutely wonderful. The condo was perfectly clean and very neat. The deck is the most amazing deck ever and it literally feels as if you are right there at the edge of the ocean when you step out on the deck. It is wonderful sleeping in the master bedroom because you literally hear the waves crashing against the shore the entire time. This was our second trip to Kure at this exact same condo and we love it. We plan on staying here again in the future and would highly recommend this unit. The beach and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and this unit allows you to enjoy this. I think you would really enjoy your stay in this condo.

Older condo with great charm and greater location. Right on the beach, Wonderful photo ops for sunrises, birds, surfers, and waves. I loved to watch the pelicans strafe the waves! I took 500 pictures!!!
The place needs some work... Soft flooring in spots, poor water pressure in master shower, and the cookware was adequate except for the frying pan. You may consider bringing your own, or buying a new one to take home with you. Furniture was not amenable to old arthritic backs. Poor lumbar support. Good access to elevator, though.
All in all, I feel a GREAT value for the end of April! We would come again.

We loved being so close to the beach. The house was adorable and nicely furnished. I would prefer taller toilets but that is about the only problem. We had a lovely two days there.

The place is ok. But the deck with table and chairs is awesome. It does need some updating, but who goes to the beach to sit in the room?? Minor repairs are needed in the master bathroom. Otherwise it was fine.

I am afraid that I can't say this was a great experience. It seemed that the office was too busy to attend to our needs in a timely manner. From issues with the door lock to Wifi info to air conditioning problem, their response was really delayed. I just kept being notified that they were really busy.

Hi Connie- We apologize for any inconveniences you experienced during your visit. The internet modem had just recently been replaced and unfortunately, affected the keyless door lock... we are happy our on-staff maintenance tech was able to correct. We have also looked into the a/c issue mentioned, it does appear there was a small problem with it the last afternoon of your stay, which was repaired shortly after reporting. We are disappointed that your experience wasnt as anticipated and hope it did not affect your overall experience at the property.
