On March 28, 2024 we became aware that this property is being affected by nearby construction.  You may experience unpleasant environmental factors such as noise, vibrations, and even light pollution during your stay during hours of permitted construction which are outlined as 8:00AM – 6:00PM, Monday through Saturday.  We deeply regret the inconvenience but appreciate your kind understanding that these factors are not under the control of the homeowners or our management company.  Please enjoy your visit and keep a respectful distance around areas where workers are present.

“Place Cottage” is the place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing family vacation. This beautifully furnished 6-bedroom, 3 bath single family home has unobstructed views of the ocean and a roof top deck that offers panoramic views of the beach. The expansive outdoor space is perfectly suited for grilling out, entertaining family, or a game of corn hole. The private road with no public parking will make you feel as though you have the beach to yourself and there is a semi-private path that leads to the least crowded part of the island. This home has a lot to offer!

The first living level features a bonus living space that includes a queen sleeper sofa. The living room is outfitted with a large flatscreen TV that includes basic cable service and some streaming channels. The first guest room is furnished with a pyramid bunk bed (twin over full) and includes a twin-size trundle bed to accommodate additional guests. A second bunk room features a traditional bunk bed (twin over twin), a pyramid bunk bed (twin over full) and each bunk includes a twin trundle bed. A full bathroom makes this space a perfect in-law suite, getaway for teenagers, or accommodate for anyone who wants a little more privacy. Relax outside under the covered porch area in the shade or venture up to the main deck to take in the sunshine.

Take the spiral staircase up to the main living level to join in on the stunning views and enjoy the large gathering space. An open floor plan makes the great room an exceptional place to congregate for movie nights, family dinners, or evening board games. The living room offers several cozy seating options and a 65-inch roku TV. Double sliding glass doors lead out to the ocean facing deck and provide the perfect back drop for your favorite home cooked meal. An exterior spiral staircase will guide you to the roof top deck with endless breezes and expansive views. Enjoy lounging around in the sunshine, outdoor dining, or rocking in the breeze with your favorite cold beverage.

Down the hall you will find two bathrooms that serve the four bedrooms on the main level. The first guest room has a large king bed and offers a roku TV and roll away twin bed for additional occupants. Next door is the primary bedroom which sports a king bed. The primary bedroom features direct access to the shared hall bathroom and is outfitted with a 43-inch roku TV. Across the hall are two additional guest bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. These two guest rooms share access to a jack and jill bathroom and are both furnished with Roku TV’s. Each bedroom on the main floor houses a stow away twin-size bed that can be used to accommodate families or groups with varying bedding configuration needs.

Although “Place Cottage” is technically the third house back from the beach front, the unique staggered lots on the north end of the island ensure picture perfect views and a greater feeling of privacy. With ample parking, outdoor space to relax and play in the sun, multiple living levels, your family will not be disappointed by this vacation spot. So, pack your bags and make this unique home your new family tradition!

Stay Requirements: Friday to Friday rental in summer. Minimum of 2-night stay in other seasons.

Parking: Assigned parking on site for 6 vehicles.
Pet Policy: No pets allowed.
Prohibited: Smoking, Pets, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

Property Security: For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have exterior security cameras located on the upper deck door, outdoor shower pointing toward the street and surveillance cameras on the crows nest point toward the roof.

The rental was in a great location with a great view, but overall the home could use some TLC. The living area was definitely not clean. There was a whole beach worth of sand underneath the area rug. Because of Hurricane Ian they had to place all of the outdoor furniture in the living room which made the rug askew and wouldn’t lie flat. The rug pad underneath was of no help. It is old and nasty. The rug needs to be replaced. Most importantly, the home was not toddler friendly, which needs to be said in the rental description. The spiral staircase to the basement/garage was not safe for toddlers or the elderly. The spindles are set too wide apart and a toddler can fit through to fall to the basement. We didn’t find the outside staircase to get inside until the next day because of the rain when we arrived. We wanted to switch houses when we arrived because the fridge smelled like fish and the bathrooms are outdated and had a distinctive smell. We were scared for our toddlers safety. When I told them they should advise that the house isn’t safe for kids they asked me is I had asked them if it was kid friendly when I booked the house. No, but we rented a crib through them as well as listed the kids when we booked the house.

The house was beautiful! Beautiful morning views, amazing evenings! This house accommodates! Our family was at max capacity. Beds, liens,towels, dishes, cookware, BULK everything! Our family came from Missouri, Florida, and the Carolinas. Our kids enjoyed having their own living space as well as the adults. Morning coffee on the rooftop evening shell hunting on the beach, volleyball in the yard! Memories made for a life time! Our family started their first family tradition in the beautiful house. We appreciate the accommodations, and amenities. This house does not disappoint at all!

When we booked the house, there were comments referring to the age of the appliances. We were only staying three nights so we thought we didn't need anything extravagant. We arrived at the property to find the kitchen wasn't very clean. We recleaned it ourselves and then cooked dinner for 15 guests. As we finished loading the dishwasher, we realized that the door didn't close all the way, therefore it wouldn't wash the dishes. I called the 24/7 emergency maintenance line and they said they'd have someone out first thing in the morning. No one ever called or came by, so I called two more times and someone finally came at 5pm. He said they knew about the dishwasher being broken and never told us. We also battled an oven that overheated, so we bought paper plates and got take out for the rest of the weekend. Until these issues are fixed and you have confirmed with the real estate company, I would not recommend this property. The location is great and the house has a great outdoor space.

The dishwasher was found to need replacing, which will be happening before our next guest arrives. I do apologize for the lag time between when you reported the dishwasher and a technician coming to the property. We try our hardest to get to all guest issues as promptly as possible, but sometimes emergencies will hold up other issues being completed. However, we were able to fix the oven during your stay. We also would've been more than happy to send a housekeeper over to clean the kitchen had we been initially notified that it was not up to par. We take feedback very seriously in order to make our guest experience the best it can be. We hope you will reconsider staying with us in the future!

Just steps away from the beach, the venue was ideal for our needs. There were enough sleeping accommodations for our guests and plenty of room for drop ins. The view was outstanding. The beautiful stainless steel kitchen appliances were attractive but were worn and in need of attention. Despite this, I would highly recommend this location for a vacation rental.

Perfect home for our family. Plenty of space for everyone, we had 17, the house had everything we needed and a view that was just amazing to see every morning . The deck was so relaxing wish we could have enjoyed more but we had a bit of rain. Although we didn’t use them the house came with tons of games for bad weather. There were a few minor recommendations for repairs mainly due to normal wear I’d say and sent an email. I would just ask that the dryer be replaced it’s extremely loud and only works on 1 setting. I highly recommend this home for your vacation. Bonus was tons of parking space and everyone loved the crows nest in the morning and evening!

Our 4th year staying at Place Cottage. We love the houses location and size. Perfect size yard for our children and steps away from the beach. Bedrooms were updated 2 years ago which made sleeping even better. Would really like for owners to fix bathrooms and kitchen. Need to be cleaned and updated if the cost continues to go up. Otherwise we love our week stay at Place Cottage.

We loved the Place Cottage! It was perfect for my group of 15, with ample space and fantastic amenities. The location really can't be beat. The bathrooms on the top floor could use some work both in terms of aesthetics and to ensure their proper functioning. But honestly, the house had everything needed and then some. We loved our weekend there and would absolutely rent again!

Unfortunately it wasn’t maintained very well as two of the bathroom toilets stopped up during our stay.
Kitchen silverware, dishes, pots and pans needed to be cleaned before we used them.
There were many bugs (alive) in the lower level!
Lower level refrigerator very noisy.

Based on your feedback about the bugs (which we did not receive until you checked out) we had the property professionally assessed right after you left. Like most of our properties, Place Cottage is on contract with a local pest control service and receives regular assessments and treatments. While the tech did not find anything unusual after your departure, we are always happy to have an opportunity for an extra visit!
In addition to many partnerships with local vendors, we do have our own Maintenance team available to our renters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we would have loved to have had the opportunity to respond to the toilet issue you mentioned in your review. Next time you stay in a Bryant Real Estate managed property, please feel free to call us any time and we will be happy to help you out during your stay with an on-demand response from Maintenance and Housekeeping staff. We love this place. Its roomy, has great ocean access, the outside enclosed shower is awesome, all the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are nice and parking is plentiful.

This was a great rental home for our family. The upstairs/downstairs arrangements worked out well for us; the little ones occupied the downstairs and the adults, the upstairs. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and being able to see sunsets from the upper deck. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and the living room allowed lots of people to mingle. We did have to child-proof the interior stairway and be diligent about ensuring the outdoor stairs were blocked when the kids were outside.

We are local to the beach, but took this rental and invited all our children and grandchildren to come back home to us! It was delightful. The beach was great, we felt far away from our work-a-day world, and the setting and facilities gave us our own little corner of family vacation enjoyment with all the features one would desire.....
(Remarkable that we handled all arrangements online and gained admission to the property with the keyless entry such that we had no human interaction up until the rental company called mid-week just to check on us and if everything was all right.)

This was our second year staying at the Place Cottage. We love the house with plenty of bedrooms for the 3 families. The children love the new bunk beds and were so excited all 6 boys could stay in one room. We love the property which is perfect for 9 active children. The best feature is being so close to the ocean. We can't wait to go back next year.
