Description

"Salt Air Cottage" is a charming little cottage only a few blocks from downtown Carolina Beach and the Boardwalk. It is filled with nautical décor to enjoy your stay at the beach! After a fun filled day on the beach enjoy the quiet neighborhood setting with all the comforts of home. As you enter the heart of Carolina Beach just at the end of Harper Avenue, you will find the Celtic Creamery with delicious treats!
The kitchen, dining area, and living room host an open floor plan that is perfect for your family to be together for meal preps in the fully equipped kitchen (it even has a Keurig!) or just sitting around watching TV, but the young adults may want to check out the bunk room that features a large flat screen for gaming only. The main bedroom has two Full beds, a large walk in closet and private bathroom. The additional bedroom has a Full bed and the bunk bedroom has a pyramid bed - a Twin bed over a Full bed plus a Twin trundle underneath. Both these additional bedrooms share the hall bathroom.
The backyard features a charcoal grill and picnic table for afternoon cookouts; and the fenced in backyard is a nice plus for your four-legged family member. You'll also find boogie boards and a beach wagon to haul your stuff. The owner provides shampoo, body wash and conditioner in the bathrooms, and a puppy bed and bowls! Finally, they also provide HBO Max, Roku TV and Netflix. Who could ask for more?
While vacationing in Carolina Beach, be sure to check out the Boardwalk area, where you will find shops, restaurants and the summer activities such as fireworks, carnival rides and live music. Watch the fishermen come in with the catch of the day at the marina or dine out with the family. Or travel a few miles south to the Ft. Fisher Historic Museum, the Civil War battleground and the NC Aquarium. Make plans for the family on Sunday night for the outdoor movie by the lake. From Mexican to Seafood to American, you have so many choices like El Cazador, Havana’s, or Pop’s Diner! A vacation in "Salt Air Cottage" will give you a lifetime of memories.

Stay Requirements: Saturday to Saturday rental in Summer. Min two night stay other seasons.
Bedding Configuration: 3 Full, 1 Pyramid Bunk Bed (Twin over Full) with Twin Trundle
Parking: Parking for three vehicles in driveway.
Pet Policy: Dogs welcome with a nonrefundable fee that is charged per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs per reservation.
Prohibited: Smoking, Use of Garage, RV’s, Boats, Boat Trailers, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

The Salt Air Cottage worked perfectly for our family of 6 adults. The interior is very spacious and well thought out. The open plan kitchen/dining/living room allowed everyone to be part of the action in dinner prep or just lunch or snacks. The bedrooms are also spacious. We loved the outdoor shower (although the biting "no-see-ums" were ferocious). The yard is quite small but was secure for our dog, and allowed the smokers in our bunch a place to gather. The BBQ grill is old school briquette type but worked fine. There was plenty of room out front for playing outdoor games on the lawn/driveway. The location is fantastic in a quiet neighborhood but walking distance to the beach, arcade, marina, many restaurants and bars. Saw live music most nights. I would definitely recommend this property and would return. The only improvement I would make is having some area screened in to avoid the bugs (but that could have just been the time of year we were there too).

Very clean and comfortable home in quiet neighborhood. Centrally located for all beach activity. Big family room and kitchen (open floor plan) and beds were very comfortable. Master bedroom was spacious.

Salt Air Cottage is a beautiful and comfortable beach house with everything you need for a great vacation, or stay-cation in my experience. We rented for 8 weeks and it had all the comforts of home and was well stocked with dishes and cookware, comfortable clean furniture and nice big bathrooms.
Walking distance to the beach and other attractions/restaurants on the Boardwalk, you can’t go wrong with this perfect cottage.

After traveling it was a little disappointing to have to make the beds. We had to vacuum to get the sad from the floors from the previous renters. It is not a 3 bedroom residence but a 2 bedroom and game room for a gamer with a very uncomfortable bed and mattress for an adult. Bryant Real Estate was very pleasant to work with. I would recommend to a friend, telling them the above first.

This property is in fact a 3 bedroom as 1 room has a Queen bed, the 2nd room has a bunk bed (Twin over full with twin trundle) and the 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds. The bunk room does have a 50 inch TV and Xbox gaming system for guests entertainment. Thank you for feedback concerning the mattress! We have taken note and will investigate the comfort of the mattresses and pass along our findings to the owners with possible options. We're sorry to hear that you felt the floors were unclean. Did you know that our Hospitality Department is avaible to all our guests upon request? We wish we had the opportunity to address the floors for you so you may enjoy your vacation instead of cleaning. As for bed making, due to the pandemic we are currently facing, all linens are safely wrapped and placed on the appropriate beds along with towel sets for your comfort. This is to reassure our guests that the linens are in fact, clean, sanitized, and ready for their use. The house is awesome! Love the colors and artwork!! The kitchen had every tool you’ll need, although I bought a new ice cream scoop because the one they had broke the handle away from the scoop part. The kids LOVED the X-BOX!

The only problems we had was that the dishwasher was broken. With 6 people eating, dishes were really a chore. I spent almost an hour getting hair and dirt unwrapped from around the brushes. Then I washed it out so I could use it.

It was the first time that the status of the property exceeded expectations upon arrival. Management arrived very quickly when our kitchen sink became clogged.

I absolutely loved my stay. I’m an extremely pick person when it comes to picking a vacation property and this place hit every mark. My only complaint (if I had one) is that the backyard looks way bigger in the pictures. However, we didn’t spend much time in the backyard. The house was extremely larger than the pictures conveyed. It had everything we needed. I did bring my ninja foodie and used that for a lot of my cooking. However, there were lots of kitchen utensils, dishes, and platters. Everything was absolutely perfect. I can’t wait to visit next year!

Very spacious inside and plenty of kitchen items to do basic cookings. The side yard was wonderful to have for the dogs and we were a short walk to the beach!

We brought all of our own soaps and paper towels because those were not provided. The bed sheets did not fit the beds well, but that was the only challenge we had.

My family of four, plus two dogs, had every creature comfort of home. We were all able to work from "home" with no issues with regard to internet and space. Our dogs were safe in the fenced in yard. Walking to the beach and shops was just three blocks. The house was clean and updated. This was our home away from home.

We enjoyed our stay at Salt Air Cottage. The house was spotless and very comfortable. There was only a couple of items which need improving: There was no toaster oven or toaster, no pot holders or baking dishes. Other than that the kitchen supplies were great. This rental needs a new grill. The grill was un-useable. Over all this is a nice rental in a nice location and we would recommend it. Betty G.

Loved this house from the moment we entered. My husband and I and 3 of our children stayed here while visiting relatives. First the house was so much better in person than in the photos. Great decor, great layout, LOVE the kitchen dining living area. Also very nice spaces outside and an easy walk to restaurants and the beach. We brought our dog yet did not detect a dog smell in the house. Fenced yard for ease with your pet. My only complaint is there are only full beds. Wish there was queen in the one guest and king in the master. It did not make our stay any less enjoyable though.

Everything was as advertised! Beautiful home in a great location. Our dogs also enjoyed their stay because of the fenced yard. Bryants staff was very friendly and professional. The app was very helpful when looking for restaurants and things to do. Highly recommend Bryant!!

Our family loved staying here. Walked to the beach and boardwalk every day, enjoyed relaxing in the house, and exploring the nearby areas (brewery, restaurants, state park, aquarium)

Booked a last minute trip with my mom and my toy poodle. I love the layout because it gave us our own space. We enjoyed the walks to the beach. The dog could not go on the boardwalk but we walked down a little to the entrance past the large hotel. We had family come visit and the large drive fit all cars. The place is clean and updated. Beds are comfy and we may consider this home again, for our pooch.
