Description

Sea Colony is one of the favorite condo complexes on Carolina Beach, with it's well kept grounds for grilling at the picnic table to the beautiful oceanfront salt water swimming pool. This one bedroom, one bath 3rd floor condo "Sunrise Balcony" features an open floor plan with the kitchen, dining area, and living room all ocean front and lead out to the deck. Sit out on the deck with a cup of coffee and listen to the waves roll in, or wake up early morning to see the magnificent sunrise. Many have said that on some mornings they have watched the dolphins play right past the surf. The primary bedroom is street side with a Queen bed and there is a set of bunk beds nestled in the hall alcove perfect for the children. After a day on the beach you may want to relax by the pool or take a late afternoon swim.

Welcome to Sea Colony, a family favorite condominium complex complex! Known for it's well kept grounds with BBQ grills and picnic tables, oceanfront salt water swimming pool and deck, and private beach access, Sea Colony provides an inviting recreational area for the enjoyment of all guests.

While visiting Carolina Beach during the summer, make sure to visit the Boardwalk, it has fun for all ages, or take in a movie at the lake on Sunday evenings and no one should go home without trying Britt's Donuts, it's located on the Boardwalk. The NC Aquarium at nearby Kure Beach is open all year, the kids especially enjoy the touching pond.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

Occupancy 4: Three night minimums stays in Summer. Minimum two night stay other seasons.
Bedding Recap: 1 Queen, 1 Twin Bunk Bed
Parking: TWO parking passes are included with reservation. Parking only available in open lots, underneath building reserved for owners.

After staying home for two years we finally made it back. Sea Colony is a great place to stay and we’ve been here 4 times. Will definitely come back as long as it stays affordable.

The good: location couldn't be better, right on the beach. The onsite pool is spacious, clean and plenty of seating. View of the ocean from the condo is perfect, and looks right over the pool too. Price was reasonable for such a great location. Within walking distance of a few restaurants and 5 minutes from lots of others. Realty company was very good about communicating after the reservation was made. Ice maker in the freezer produces tons of ice.

The bad: The unit looks very worn and dated. Appliances all worked but they are old and could use an upgrade. The dishwasher was LOUD! Balcony deck had peeling paint, nail/screw holes in the walls deck furniture was cheap. Limited seating in the living room and the recliner was broken and nearly unusable. The only clock was broken too. Tight kitchen area, mismatched utensils/dishware.

The worst: Parking! The lot is cramped so parking is at a premium. But the kicker is that you are given a piece of paper as your parking pass. You have to remember to put it on your dashboard every time you park. If you forget (which is easy to do) YOU WILL BE TOWED!!! The towing company that the complex uses is very aggressive about grabbing any cars they can, and it's $250 to get your car back. Total scam but they have you over a barrel. So be warned!

Overall it was a good stay, but the negatives can ruin your trip if you aren't expecting them.

We work with homeowners in the off season to make updates to the property so we will definitely recommend giving the property a facelift and checking on the appliances. Our maintenance tech took your suggestions and have filled the nail holes in the walls and fixed the recliner. Parking is a bit difficult on the island as it is very limited. The HOA provides us with the parking passes for guests and they work with the towing companies that patrol their lots. We are glad that overall your stay was good and hope you enjoyed the beach!

Had a great time. Love the location. It's time for furniture and bedding updates. Needs some updating overall. Paid 1000 dollars for 4 nights so I really expected a little better interior.

With an elevator to get to and from your room, stay would have been perfect.

Excellent oceanfront views! Kitchen equipped with all cooking utensils, pots, pans etc... Great location only 0.8 mile to boardwalk and even closer walking to tiki bar, Vinnie's pizza and the spot. They have charcoal grills on property if you decide to use. Bryant was very attentive to responding to issues. Decor in condo is outdated and needs to be updated. Carpet needs a deep cleaning or replaced. This is basic wear and tear from having a busy summer. We were on the tail end of that and visited in November. I would use Bryant again as they have many properties to choose from. Book ahead!!

The place was clean small not enough room for privacy. The third floor climb was a nightmare. I had a disabled daughter. It was very hard on her and my sister. She has knee pain. A tropical storm kept us in for 2 days flooding and roads closed. The view is deceiving.

Doug - Sounds like you would have been more happier in a 2+ bedroom condo with an elevator other than a spacious 1 bedroom condo with only stair access. When planning your next vacation please make sure to contact our reservationists as we have many other options that better suite your vacation needs such as elevators and ground floor properties. Relaxing out on the ocean front balcony, soaking in the sun, listening to the waves crash, and seeing that beautiful ocean view makes your brain think you're sitting right on the beach other than a 3rd floor ocean front balcony. My husband and I took our infant son for a long weekend. The descriptions are accurate. The place is right on the water- short walk to the beach. The pool is very nice and it’s relatively quiet. Carolina Beach stay means you are close to everything within walking distance. The only downside to staying in a condo is you have to make your own beds and when we arrived we were on the phone with support for wifi assistance, but apparently the Wi-Fi was not even plugged in so we were a lot happier once that was resolved.

Condo could use a deep clean and some maintenance. Seem to be outdated photos. Nothing that would ruin a week at the beach though. Wobbly, cheap furniture (we didn’t use two bar stools for fear of breaking), a few holes in walls, electrical switches taped off, minor things. Bedding needs replaced or at the least washed well, looks like larger items haven’t been cleaned behind in some time, food behind bed and under couch. Like I said, nothing that would ruin a week at the beach but I wouldn’t stay here again. Pool area was awesome and location with walking distance to several restaurants.

Great location. Perfect, in fact. Very clean inside the unit, but several drawbacks to consider. The main bed was decent, but the bunk bed and couch mattresses were awful. Kids slept on the floor.... the deck is splinter central-needs to be replaced, or mandate shoes all the time on the deck.

Rental company very easy to work with. Worked to take care of any problems we had. No TV - had to have Spectrum come out & fix. Was clean; but had very weathered deck boards and deck furniture was not comfortable to sit in. A little more “cramped” than we expected - was ok for 2 people would be too small for any more. Did not realize was a 40 steps bottom to doir with
no option of an elevator. We enjoyed our trip ( even eith all the rain) but would not rent this one again.

We have stayed at Sea colony for years and have stayed in 10+ of the condos available. this condo was pretty standard.. nothing fancy, but that’s not what i’m looking for anyway- you can’t beat the view and the proximity to the beach. The only true complaint for me, and the reason I won’t rent from bryant again, is that we did not have access to the storage closet. In all the places i’ve stayed, it’s never even occurred to me that the closet would not be available to renters. Having to place sandy and wet beach supplies (tent/chairs/boogieboards/etc) in my trunk every evening was awful. The only other option was to haul them up 3 flights of stairs and that certainly wasn’t going to happen (i’m sure the owners would also appreciate us not bringing the wet things up to their condo).

like I said— can’t beat the view & the few short steps to the beach! will always choose sea colony for our yearly vacation- just will make sure we have a closet next time :)

Very nice neat and clean condo on the beach. It had all the amenities we were looking for. It had a nice deck overlooking the beach. It was very relaxing watching the pelicans fly by.
Ps. I saw no electrical problems at all.
