"The Surfing Turtle" is a top 3rd floor, walk up condominium unit with majestic and unobstructed ocean views that make you want to drop everything and gaze out on the Atlantic. The eastern side of the living room features wall-to-wall glass including a sliding door; you won’t miss out on nature’s beauty and you may even see some dolphins. When you are ready to get out on the beach, you will appreciate the private access to a beautiful stretch of sand located between Lifeguard stations 9 and 11.

You will enjoy time spent cooking with your family in the stunningly updated kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops. Two bedrooms with Queen size beds, two baths, and an open living room with sleeper sofa located in the living room give you ample amount of space to accommodate 6 people. Televisions in both bedrooms, new flooring throughout and a new dining room set will make your family feel comfortable and welcomed. All the tv's have transitioned to streaming provided by Roku, offering options for the whole family!

Coral Surf is an oceanfront condominium community located just two blocks from the lake, and a 12-minute walk to the Carolina Beach boardwalk. Coral Surf boasts a community pool, private beach walkway and rinse-off shower all included with your reservation.

At the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, you will have countless places to dine, as well as family-friendly events during the summer months. Very convenient location with great ocean views!

We found the condo to be VERY clean and everything was in good working order.

Kitchen and living room have obviously been updated recently. The bedrooms are fine, but I'm not a fan of foam mattresses. The bathrooms are quite dated and need updating, but are still functional. (One of the bathtubs makes crunching sounds while you're taking a shower and some of the chrome finishes are tarnished/rusting, etc.)

Loved the private deck and the southward window views of the beach toward Kure. The deck furniture is showing its age.

Sliding doors and windows are very modern. The HVAC works great! The entrance door is ancient and the antiquated digital code lock systems is often VERY frustrating--especially after climbing four flights of steps with groceries.

We barely knew there with folks staying in adjacent units. I don't know if this was due to excellent sound insulation or just considerate neighbors.

The folks at Bryant were extremely helpful when we needed them. They were great to work with.

Overall, it's a terrific 2-bedroom condo! With a new entrance door and updated bathrooms it will be first-rate.

The cleanliness of the rental was questionable upon arrival. I have to say that it is not the cleanest and with having a little one who likes to touch everything, it’s the first thing we notice. The floors are quite gross, sand being the exception but there is hair, hair ties, clothing tags plastic, and a variety of other things that stick to your feet. Not only that, there is standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher that puts off quite a foul smell, along with a used sponge for cleaning dishes. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be provided or not but the used one could be disposed of if not. My biggest qualm is that there was hair on the toilet seat and bath tubs which leads me to think and question if the rental was even properly cleaned prior to our arrival. We ended up going out of our way to grab cleaning supplies and did a clean of the property which is not how I normally like to start off my vacation.

I noticed that we were not allowed to try and rectify any of these issues, as you declined our offer of a return cleaner and would not allow our maintenance tech to check out the dishwasher. It is so hard to address any insufficiencies if we are not given the opportunity. I was in the unit just prior to your arrival for a new furniture delivery and did not have the same experience whatsoever. Anyway, we hope you enjoyed the outstanding views and were otherwise comfortable.

The location was great. The property is right on the beach. A short boardwalk leads right to the sand. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. The unit is on the third floor and has great views of the ocean.

The unit has almost everything you would want. The kitchen is well stocked. There is a storage unit with beach chairs, umbrellas and toys.

I would recommend this unit to anyone.

This condo is steps from the beach. The deck has a clear view of the beach and ocean. We got up every morning to watch the beautiful sunrise. A nice walk to the Tiki Bar and in the other direction the board walk. Restaurants and small grocery short walk from the Condo. We would surely choose this condo again.

The location of the property was certainly the highlight. Unbeatable ocean/beach views from the third floor balcony. The condo was ok, we have stayed at much nicer properties with comparable rates. The cleanliness or the lack of was probably the most disappointing. I paid almost $2500 for a week and I honestly don't think I should have had to buy cleaning products to clean the place upon arrival. We are still amidst COVID and an appropriate cleaning protocol should have been followed. The bathrooms are small and dated and don't match the rest of the condo. Some of the furniture was wobbly and unsafe. Thankfully my husband brought his tools so he was fixing the bench. I think it was inexpensive dining room furniture that wasn't properly put together (aka IKEA). A chair on the balcony should be replaced as it was unsafe to sit on. We were expected to essentially clean the condo before departing. So I am not sure what the cleaning people had left to do? The waterpressue and drainage is an issue in the showers. Some additional kitchen items would be helpful. The toaster oven was a nice feature but a blender and pizza pan/pizza cutter would be a nice addition.We left a day early as the weather was not very good while we were there (first week in August). The TV's could be bigger in the 2 bedrooms. Overall it was on ok stay but we certainly expected more from the pricetag. We took the ferry to Southport for a day trip which was lovely. The Celtic Creamery had great ice cream.

As you stated in your review, the location of this property is ideal for families looking to spend more time outside and less time inside or traveling in a car. Shops, restaurants, and the beach are just steps from the ground floor stairs. Wonderful to hear that you took full advantage and decided to check out historic Southport! Did you happen to check out Fort Fisher or our beautiful aquarium with the all-new otter exhibit? You passed these while driving to the ferry terminal. We're a bit confused by your review regarding the furniture and the cleanliness of the property. The dining room table is defiantly not an IKEA furniture. This beautiful bamboo dining table and matching 6 chairs was recently added to the property. This allows families to sit together and enjoy meals while either watching TV in the living room or checking out that gorgeous ocean view you mentioned. I see that you alerted our staff about the cleanliness issues during your stay. As a reminder, our Hospitality staff is avaible to all guests upon request with no charge. We wish you would have allowed our Hospitality Department to address all the cleanliness issues you state you found instead of purchasing cleaning supplies. Our wonderful Hospitality Department takes this worldwide pandemic we are currently in very seriously and that is why we are following the CDCs cleaning guidelines. When departing we ask all guests to please wash dishes that you may have used, remove all your trash that you accumulated during your stay, and strip all the beds of sheets. We do not ask guests to reclean the entire property upon departure, that is why guests are charged a cleaning fee, so you may pack your bags and head home and leave the cleaning to us! A beautiful week at Carolina beach. The beach was very private and uncrowded, the view from the balcony superb. The condo is well equipped and very comfortable. The carpeting and LR couches are somewhat worn and seem to need a deep cleaning.

The condo and location were great for a long weekend. The unit is nicely maintained. There was a lot of sand left on the floors and deck. I did clean these as much as I could when we arrived. There was also leftover food on the dining room chairs and sofas. Again I cleaned these as best I could. The rental company I have great concerns with as our personal information was left in a box with every other unit being rented during the weekend of our stay. Anyone could have picked up anyone's envelope and would have home and rental security information. I would rent this unit again if it was managed by another company.

The unit was super nice. Very clean and was stocked with all kinds of kitchen accessories. On the beach which made it nice to eat breakfast on the patio. Only downside is the pool key wouldn't work. The kids wanted to splash around in the pool but we weren't able to get in. Aside from that, which was minor, we had a great time and will return!

We loved the surfing turtle. The kitchen is nicely renovated and all the furniture is very comfortable. The unit was nice and clean too. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to the boardwalk and ocean front. We sat on the deck for hours watching the waves and taking in the ocean breeze. You park underneath the building, so loading and unloading is very convenient. My only complaint the whole trip was they had no cutting board as I didn't want to cut meat on the wood topped island. I highly recommend this unit though. We plan to rent again in the future.

Amazing view! Condo was perfect for our family of 5. Beach was so convenient especially for quick trips back up to the condo throughout the day with little kids. Cant wait to plan our next trip!
My only complaint was that the rails on the porch deck were spaced too far apart to feel comfortable with our young kids on the deck near the rails.

Numerous bugs in the unit. Dining room chairs were badly stained. We've been visiting Carolina and Kure Beach for years. This was our least favorite of any of the condos we've stayed in.

The Surfing Turtle was beautiful and in the perfect spot to enjoy a week at the beach. It was immaculate, well appointed, and had an unparalleled ocean view. We ate every meal on the covered deck and miss it still.

The Condo was clean and had absolutely every item needed for a relaxing beach vacation. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the deck overlooking the ocean was perfect. The easy beach access made setting up on the beach in the morning so simple and we walked inside for lunch and then back out on the beach. Evenings walking to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk were breezy and cool and Britt's Doughnuts at the Boardwalk were worth it!

Amazing place with an incredible view of the ocean. The complex has direct access to the beach. Beautiful kitchen that looks like it has been recently redone with stainless appliances. If you love to cook you will love this kitchen but since downtown Carolina Beach is only a ten minute walk from the rental you can easily enjoy all the bars and restaurants the town has to offer.

Minor issues were present (ex. bathroom towel bar came off wall, rust on shower curtain bar) but the location and view were ideal. Nothing like enjoying a spectacular sunrise over the ocean on the patio with your morning coffee. Wow!

Loved being right on the beach, loved it. However, the flights of stairs to the third floor was a bit uncomfortable.

The condo is the perfect location to walk to everything, but just far enough from the boardwalk that you avoid all of that traffic. Unit's kitchen is great!The beds were fine, however the furniture in the bedrooms are overdue for replacement. The dressers drawers were broken or falling out. Not deal breakers, but replacing the furniture in both bedrooms would help them match up to the pretty kitchen. My only real grip with the unit was the exterior railings. They are not up to (current) code. If you have small children be warned - They can fit their entire body through the railing on the deck and up the stairs. We were really looking forward to eating all of our meals on the deck to soak up the view. Unfortunately, we could only go out there after our son went to bed. We noticed some of the other units had installed a plastic mesh screen to help this problem. If the owner remedies this problem we would gladly return to the unit. Gorgeous view, great beach access and perfect location.

The Surfing Turtle was really nice. It was on the beach, had two parking spots and many unexpected amenities. There is a closet in the parking area with chairs, umbrellas and beach toys. We didn't need to rent the chairs and chairs like others did (big savings). I brought salt and pepper, but found that many spices were already in the cupboard. I too left the kitchen items I had bought/brought for the trip. Sharing!
The bathroom needs more storage, the towel racks are missing screws, and one of the dresser drawers was broken/unusable, but those are my only complaints.

Clean well maintained unit. Location is right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants and bars. Outside needs some maintenance. Renters have a very odd option to pay extra for renting linens/towels and requirement to clean up.

Gene we appreciate your feedback, that is a beautiful unit on a quiet street with great ocean views. As stated on all of the sites we advertise on, linens are only included on rental stays that are 5 nights to 21 nights. We do give renters the options to bring their own linens or rent them through us on the rental contract that is sent to each guest. As most rental companies or individual owner's that rent out prioperties, we only ask that you take your trash out, make sure your dishes are washed ane put away, and you remove your items that were brought in. You as a renter are not required to do any cleaning or sanitizing, that is handled by us and is paid for by the owner, I apologize that you found that to be out of the ordinary. We do hope that you had an enjoyable vacation and that you will come back and see us next year.

My husband and I had a great weekend (our stay was 4.26.19–4.28.19) celebrating our 27th year wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Surfing Turtle Condo and the unit is in an amazing location, close to everything around. This condo had been recently updated. The only disappointing thing was that the air conditioning was not working properly. We called and reported this problem and a technician came out within an hour. Another condo owner disclosed to us that the problem with the AC unit has been a problem for some time and has not been fixed. Thank goodness it was early in the year to have NO AC...very muggy. This unit is on the third floor, so if you have medical issues and can not walk stairs... this unit is not for you. 6 flights of stairs to get to the door.
Unfortunately we could not use the pool, still closed due to the hurricane from the fall. Nasty to even look at, water still green with a deck table in the pool.

Looking forward to returning to Carolina Beach later this summer.

Deborah we hope that you had a nice anniversary. We appreciate your understanding with the air conditioner, the company did come and fill it up with freon but i understand it went out again. This is beautiful property and the owner takes great care of it. Unfortunately at this time of year a lot of the pools are not open yet waiting on inspections and pool cleaning companies. We apologize that everything was not perfect for you r anniversary but hope that you wil spend your 28th with us.

Great location and nice accommodations, enjoyed the Thursday night fireworks from the balcony.

Be aware that there is no elevator for those staying on the 3rd floor and unless we missed something the "pool" is 3' deep and no larger than a hot tub.

The mattresses need to be replaced in both bedrooms - extremely uncomfortable.

Positives: Newly renovated. Great view-Can see the civil war shipwreck at low tide right off the beach. Close to restaurants, boardwalk, grocery etc. Nice fireworks from the boardwalk were visible from the beach. New appliances. Well equipped kitchen. Decent fishing on the wreck.
Nice beach.
Negatives: 3 flights of stairs (minor:we knew that there was not an elevator), beds are not very comfortable - roll to middle and squeak with any movement. Pull out was also a uncomfortable.

Overall nice place!

Location and view can't be beat. Staff was very courteous and professional. Bring your own linens and towels unless you want to rent them

The property was clean and had very nice ocean front views. There was some construction going on in the unit below us. The location of the Unit was near to the boardwalk, restaurants, etc. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
