Description

Enjoy this spacious unit just a short walk to the ocean when you stay at "Southern Swordfish".

This four bedroom, three bath duplex has everything you need for a memorable beach vacation. The primary suite on the third floor has a Queen bed, private bath with Jacuzzi tub and private deck area with partial views of the Atlantic. There is an additional bedroom with private bath also located on this floor with 2 Twin beds, perfect for the kids!

The main level has a well-equipped kitchen with granite counter-tops, a combination living and dining room that leads out to your private deck overlooking the pool, and a large flat screen HDTV with Direct TV. This home has WiFi via ATT, and Roku's at the TV's for entertainment.

The first floor has a street side bedroom with one Full and one Twin bed and an additional bedroom with a Queen bed and private deck. It's just a short 3 blocks over to the beach.

"Southern Swordfish" shares a fenced in pool with the duplex. For larger family groups that would like to be close to one another please ask about renting the adjoining unit, "Hooked on Swordfish", for a total of 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms!

While vacationing in Carolina Beach, be sure to check out the Boardwalk area, where you will find shops, restaurants and the summer activities such as fireworks, carnival rides and live music. Watch the fishermen come in with the catch of the day at the marina or dine out with the family. Only a few miles south to the Ft. Fisher Historic Museum, the Civil War battleground and the NC Aquarium. Make plans to visit Carolina Beach today and stay at "Southern Swordfish"!

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

We called on on day one to report the dishwasher did not work. No response. Downstairs bedrooms were dusty (you could see your fingers drag in the dust on the window sills), but kitchen area was clean. since we had small children with us and another family, not having use of the dishwasher was very inconvenient. Pool was nice but the dishwasher issue was really inconvenient. Outside furniture on decks were in horrible condition...compared to the other condo's decks where furniture looked newer. Hey...not that expensive to get suitable outside furniture...not with pieces falling off and pieces of the chair poking you.

The property was as described and acceptable for the price point.

A few notes:
* The outside shower is nice, however, it's just connected to the hose, so there was no hot water.
* The pool was serviced mid-week but got a little green by the end of our stay. (We weren't going to use it anymore at that point, so we didn't notify Bryant staff.)
* The kitchen was well stocked.
* Be prepared for a duplex rental, your neighbors are super close.
* There isn't much "extra" to this unit, so it didn't feel very homey (nothing hanging on the walls in the master bedroom).

Overall, the unit could use a little TLC (hang towel rods, clean carpets) during the off season. I likely will not rent again unless I rent both sides.

The pool is serviced 2x per week, but if it ever does seem to need an additional cleaning before the next scheduled cleaning, don't hesitate to reach out to us and we will have the vendor come back out! The property is described as a duplex with a shared pool, however we do manage the adjoining side. After the busy summer season the property typically received a deep clean and then another deep clean in the spring. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will visit again!

This was such a special trip for our family. So many firsts were experienced on this trip and we were able to experience it all in this wonderful setting! The home was lovely and everyone had enough space in the common areas to feel included comfortably. We were celebrating my oldest daughter's 29th and first grandson's birthday( they share Aug 26th). We would love to return next year and rent both units to invite more family.
We were so close to the beach and all the stores. The house itself had everything we needed and the pool in the back was the cherry on top.

We had a wonderful family vacation and the house and pool were a perfect solution for our family. Few inconveniences, no ice maker, no 1/2 bath on main floor, and the pool had some filtering issues, but overall I would stay again we certainly enjoyed ourselves.

It was great, except for all the stairs they need a dumb waiter to help with bringing things up, and there is no Bathroom in the main living area where the kitchen and living room was. But other then that we had a great time!!!

Zepka beach house is lovely. We found the property very clean and was able to check in early. Staff were very nice and accommodating. The location is a short walk to the beach.

We had an awesome time here. Loved the location and the private pool. The only things I would change would be that the cleaning crew had only really done a touch up. It was dusty and dirty under the couches and tables. Otherwise very clean. I also would recommend having at least 2 additional TVs. 1 TV for 4 bedrooms and a living room isn’t a lot. Especially when you have young children and adults. I would also recommend bringing dvds or a roku if you have children.

We enjoyed our stay and had a great time. Beach was a pretty good walk (about 10 minutes) away (bring a wagon to haul things). Decent size pool that was shared with neighbor (but only 5 foot deep). I will warn you there are a lot of stairs here and they're pretty steep and with young children in our party, poorly thought out...I wish we would have brought a couple baby gates. Kitchen was well stocked with things to cook. The condo could have been cleaner and could stand a good deep cleaning. Not a decent view of the beach either if that is important to you. Overall we were satisfied with the place, but wouldn't choose it again until the little ones are a bit older probably just do to safety issues (high top table, steep stairs, etc)

Overall, nice property, close enough walk to the beach with a buggie to help, but this place needs a little TLC. By that, I mean new bed pillows, new outdoor furniture, ice dispenser didn't work, no TVs except in main room, decor is outdated, games need to be tossed (missing pieces, etc.) - rug and sofas are stained/old. Pool is very nice though, very clean and just the perfect size to share with the other unit. Parking is very limited. Outdoor shower door is broken

Our vacation was wonderful and much needed! The house was nice and the pool was a plus! There are a few upgrades that need to be done (dishwasher & utensils)and the bathrooms needed some work. Other than that it was great. Close to the beach and attractions but not right in the midst of all the traffic.

My daughter got married in the Wilmington North Carolina downtown area. We stayed the following week with the whole family in this property and had a wonderful stay. The only downfall was a lot of steps which was a challenge for my elderly father. The very clean pool was enjoyed by all especially my grandchildren and niece and it is only a couple blocks from the beach which was very accessible just down the road. Plenty of parking for multiple families with vehicles.

We spent our yearly family vacation here and was very comfortable.
The pool was a big plus and the year round neighbors were great. Not recommended for someone who can't do stairs but overall a excellent vacation spot!

House was in a great location only 3 blocks from the beach. Clean and basically well kept, except for the floor boards on the deck on the living area level. Nails were popping up in several places. Disappointed at first the there was no grill, after a few days we spoke with the gentleman next door, who seemed to be some kind of caretaker and he removed one from a locked space. Other then no internet was a great house, would definitely rent again.
