What’s Open in the Wilmington & Island Beach Communities?

Per government mandate, Wilmington and Carolina, Kure and Wrightsville Beaches Stay-at-Home order has been lifted. The State of North Carolina will continue to stay paused in Safer at Home Phase 2 when the governor's current executive order expires on Friday, July 17th, with the order being extended for three weeks. This new phase means the out-of-state visitors are welcome to travel to the area, all beaches are open, short-term rentals are available, and restaurants are now open for limited dine-in services, in addition to take out.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful stretch of Carolina coast, and encourage you to travel and enjoy safely by practicing social distancing and other guidelines.

What businesses will be open in the Wilmington & Island Beach area in June?

  • Restaurants can open for indoor/outdoor dining at 50% capacity.

  • Breweries, wineries and distilleries can open under the same enhanced sanitization and safety requirements that restaurants must follow, including a 50% occupancy limit and rigorous cleaning procedures.

  • Retailers can open at 50% capacity with distancing restrictions.

  • Bars, nightclubs, indoor entertainment venues, museums, playgrounds, and gyms will remain closed.

What else do I need to know when traveling to Wilmington & Island Beaches in June?

If you’re staying in a Bryant vacation rental (or any rental), we recommend bringing some essentials, including paper and sanitizing products and non-perishable groceries.  Swimming pools can open at 50% capacity, however, Home Owners Associations have chosen to not open pools at this time.  Group gatherings are limited to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.
